A WEDMORE man who admitted a drink driving charge was disqualified for a year and told to pay a total of £510 at Taunton Magistrates Court on Monday.
Robert Major, a 23-year-old plumber of Cheddar Road, was fined £250 with £260 costs.
Major was standing next to his works van on a sliproad to Bridgwater College when he was approached by police at 12.40am on June 27.
A breathalyser test showed that he had 41 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath – which is just over the legal limit of 35.
Major admitted to the police that he had been driving the van after drinking “three or four pints” with friends.
