Firefighters from Burnham and Bridgwater were in action on Sunday after a report that a sheep was stuck in river.
Crews were called to the Frank Foley Parkway in Burnham just after 6.30pm, with the Special Rescue Team from Bridgwater also attending.
Firefighters confirmed that one sheep was within the river and got to work to assist the sheep to safety using dry suits and a ladder.
The sheep was rescued and put in a place of safety.
