A LOYAL Lloyds customer has cut the ribbon to open a transformed LloydsPharmacy in Wedmore.

June Reagan, who is described by Lloyds as a ‘loyal and long-standing customer’, was chosen by staff at the store to do the honours.

Jorge Chan, the pharmacy manager, said: “We’re excited by our transformation. We want our new store to become the destination of choice for customers looking for expert health advice. Our knowledgeable nine-strong team will be on hand to provide customers with individual expertise on skin health, helping those with skin conditions to effectively manage their condition with product selection support and application techniques.”

The Church Street branch of LloydsPharmacy was upgraded as part of the company’s plan to deliver ‘flexible healthcare’.

The upgrades have been made to help the store provide improved services for dealing with a range of condition, with a focus on maintaining skin health and pain management.

“We know many who suffer from long-term health conditions don’t always want to go to their doctor every time they have a question,” Jorge continued.

“We’re able to support the work of GPs and other healthcare professionals in the area by offering convenient, one-to-one care that our local residents need and deserve.”

n Pharmacies can help with a range of common conditions and minor injuries, such as aches and pains, cystitis, colds and skin rashes.

Minor health problems like these lead to around 57 million GP consultations a year.

They also offer consultations and advice on healthy eating, losing weight and stopping smoking.
