PEOPLE of all ages enjoyed a day of meeting a selection of animals at the RSPCA fun day.

The event was held at Brent Knoll Animal Centre on Sunday September 20 from 12pm until 4pm with around 900 people arriving throughout the day.

Over £2000 was raised for the rescue charity, with all proceeds to be spent at the North Somerset RSPCA branch at Brent Knoll.

Children were entertained with a bouncy castle, slide and games, as well as the tombola.

Rita Hinton, branch secretary, said: "It was wonderful to have so many people there.

"We had the whole site open with staff there to talk to people as well as stalls for local companies with things like dog equipment.

"The catering was fantastic and the kids loved the ice cream and candy floss.

"Dave from Krazy Play brought it with him and donated all the takings to the RSPCA centre which was fantastic."
