More than 170 runners turned out on Sunday October 4 to compete in Burnham’s half marathon and braved the soaring heat.
Josh Davis, 24, from Nailsea, stormed over the finishing line in first place, with a time of 1.14.56.
Scooping second place was Robert Farley in 1.17.05, closely followed by Jason Scott with a time if 1.17.31.
First lady home was Helen Anthony, running for Teignbridge Trotters, in 1.24.50.
A big crowd of spectators cheered everyone on as they started and finished at the BASC ground.
The route began along Love Lane and Queen’s Drive, along the A38 towards Brent Knoll before heading to East Brent.
The runners then conquered Wick Road and Red Road and returned to Burnham.
The event was organised by Burnham Harriers, who as well as the main race, put on a fun run for youngsters on the same day.
