It was a special day for Burnham Motorboat and Sailing Club, who held a ceremony to name their Pilot Gig boat.
Due to the weather, the ceremony took place in the RNLI lifeboat station boathouse on Saturday November 21.
MP James Heappey and Mayor Michael Clarke were among those in attendance.
Rev Graham Witts and Rev Sharon Eldergill from St Andrew's Church blessed the boat.
"Our volunteer crew are looking forwards to trying a row in this pilot gig, which is the same length as the first RNLI lifeboat in Burnham, Cheltenham," said the RNLI's Mike Lang.
"There is reason for only six rowers in the Cornish Pilot gigs.
"Pilot boats had six oars, whilst customs boats all had eight rowers, enabling the customs boats to overtake or catch the pilot boats."
