Burnham's seafront has taken a hammering in the last few days as high tides combined with low pressure and strong south westerly gales to spray the Esplanade with water and foam.
It's either a question of global warming, or if the weather Gods are angry over the closing of Morrisons or simply the fact it is now winter.
On Sunday morning the gales were particularly ferocious but on black Monday, the day following the shutting of the supermarket the town's Pier Street was particularly quiet. Waves struck the sea wall while behind in the streets the rain lashed the streets as the few shoppers scurried from doorway to doorway.
