PUPILS and parents at Burnham Infants School enjoyed an activity with a difference at their Read With Me sessions.

On Wednesday January 13 and Thursday January 14, parents were invited to join their children for half an hour sessions of reading books.

The children could read their favourite story or choose one from a selection, either reading it to their parents, together or be read to.

The pupils' siblings were also invited to join them.

Julia Arthur, from Burnham Infants School, said: "The children enjoyed two read with me sessions.

"The parents could come in for half an hour to read to their children or have their child read to them.

"It was all about the pupils spending reading time with their parents, which is important and really helpful.

"The siblings could also come along as well and be part of it, listening to the stories."
