THESE stunning shots were captured by Weekly News reader Adam Salter, when he was out and about in the local area of the Quantock Hills.

The Quantock Hills is a range of hills west of Sedgemoor and were England's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1956.

The hills run from the Vale of Taunton Deane in the south, to the north-west, ending at Kilve on the coast of the Bristol Channel.

They form the western border of Sedgemoor and the Somerset Levels.

The land consists of large amounts of heathland, oak woodlands, ancient parkland and agricultural land.

Adam said: "I like the pictures as it shows how nice the Quantocks and surrounding areas are.

"I only take pictures for a hobby and focus on landscapes, flowers and trees.

"I work as a joiner and enjoy travelling around the world.

"Last year I came back from a year travelling Australia and New Zealand."
