BURNHAM-ON-SEA'S iconic pier has been put up for sale by the current owners.
The Parkin family, owners of the pier, which is the country's shortest, have advertised it in a trade magazine.
The pier is described as being a freehold property, with plans to extend.
No price has been indicated at this time.
The 100-year-old pier was the first to be constructed out of reinforced concrete, as opposed to iron, which was used to build Victorian piers.
Brighton pier was sold earlier this year for £18million, while Southend pier was sold for £1.4 million in April.
