As the Pokémon Go craze continues to sweep the nation, frequent warnings are being made to try and keep gamers safe.

The game can easily suck players into a different reality with the its Augmented Reality technology.

The game even warns players as the app loads to be aware of your surroundings, as attempts to catch your 100th Rattata could lead you into some trouble, or lead you into someone else.

Burnham and Highbridge Weekly News:

A waning from Network Rail is being shown on

a screen at Taunton Railway Station.

The sign says: "Enjoying Pokémon Go? Please consider the following...

"Remember to stop, look and listen when approaching the railway.

"Concentrate - it's easy to get distracted by your phone, music or by catching Pokémon.

"It is illegal, and very dangerous to trespass on the railway - don't risk it for a game.

"Railway stations are for everyone to enjoy, but please be respectful of other station users.

"Be aware of your surroundings and familiarise yourself with the warning signs - lights, barriers, alarms etc."

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service also tweeted discouraging people not to Pokémon Go and drive as it would be unsafe.

A Twitter warning was also issued by First Buses, stating that although free wifi and charging points on buses is a tempting offer for Pokémon trainers, they should never walk into a bus depot in search for Pokémon.

The NSPCC has issued guidance for parents looking to let their children use the popular phone app.

It warns about children meeting people they don't know, the physical risk of not knowing where your child could end up, the money children could accidentally spend on the game, and the app's access to personal data.
