CRASH: There's severe delays on the M5 southbound between Bridgwater south and Bridgwater north after a crash
A CRASH on the M5 earlier this morning caused severe delays.
A car crashed into the central reservation southbound between J23 for Bridgwater North and J24 for Bridgwater South.
There's congestion to J22 for Burnham-on-Sea and motorists are being warned to expect delays of 30 minutes.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said the crash happened at 4.49am this morning.
A man has been taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton to be checked over, his injuries are not said to be serious.
There was debris on the road and fuel spillage and Highways England is now dealing with the incident.
There were delays for over three hours on the motorway and some lanes were closed temporarily.
