A RUNNER from Burnham-on-Sea is taking part in the Bath Half Marathon to raise money for St John's Ambulance.
Louise Sherman works for the first aid charity as a finance administrator, at its regional headquarters in Bridgwater and will be running the race on March 12 and hopes to raise £250 for the charity.
She said: "I am running for St John Ambulance, because I believe in everything that we do and think that everybody should learn first aid as a life skill.
"I will be proud to run for the organisation and hope to raise awareness for the charity and raise valuable funds to help with our goals.
The race will be the first half marathon Louise has run after she started running 18 months ago.
‘I started by doing 'Couch to 5k' and ran my first five kilometre Parkrun in November 2015.
"I never thought I would be running a half marathon."
