A BERROW runner has been selected to represent Great Britain at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Uganda.
Luke Prior, a former pupil of King Alfred's School will be running at the championships in Kampala on March 26 after coming third at the UK county cross country championships on March 11.
Mr Prior said: "Only few months ago I made my international debut in Elgoibar, Spain with England.
"I went into Inter-County's thinking of having an outside chance of selection.
"I would never of thought I would come 3rd and get automatic selection to represent Great Britain in Kampala, Uganda at the World Cross Country Championships.
"I just want to thank everyone for all the support I have received from my family and friends, both at university and at home.
"I also want to thank my Dad, Simon Prior for always being there and never giving me a break from cheering me on."
The race will be shown live on BBC 1 at 12pm on the March 26.
