TWO kittens who were rescued by the RSPCA after being heartlessly dumped in a shopping centre have now found a new home.

The kittens, named Scott and Ann were discovered in a zipped up bag outside Sainsbury's in Worle on January 27  by a member of the public.

A third kitten was also found but it had sadly already died.

The other two kittens were transferred into RSPCA care at Brent Knoll Animal Centre in North Somerset.

Katy Freeman, deputy manager at RSPCA Brent Knoll, said: “After six weeks we are delighted that, although still a little nervous, they have both fully recovered and have now found a new home together.

“The photos of them were horrific and to see them now, they are just wonderful healthy kittens and we are immensely grateful and proud of everyone who played a part in their rescue and rehabilitation.”

The kittens received ongoing treatment for their diarrhoea and flu symptoms.

The charity said it hopes Ann and Scott’s story will help to encourage anyone who is looking to welcome a new four-legged friend into their lives to think about adopting one of the many unwanted animals that are currently being cared for by the team at the centre.
