CRAFTERS from Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge set up their stalls and showed off their colourful creations at a craft fayre in East Huntspill.

The event at East Huntspill Village Hall on May 20 saw a number of craft enthusiasts set up shop and show off their unique creations to members of the public.

Representatives from crafting businesses including Slip and Stitch, Quilled Crafty Creations and Mary’s Cards and Boxes also attended the fair and attracted visitors with a colourful array of handmade products.

Mike Searle, co-organiser of the fayre said: “The fayre went really well.

“We had more people attend than we thought, we had 66 people in total which is a great turnout.

“There were so many different crafters there and we had 20 stallholders in total who were all keen to display and sell their crafts.

“We had a wooden puzzle seller, jewellery and card stall, woodturning stall, quilt and cushion makers, candle makers and a man who made straw dolls so visitors were spoilt for choice.

“It was great to see people come out and admire all of the crafters hard work.

“The event was a great success and all of the stall holders really enjoyed showing off their crafts on the day.”

The event was organised by representatives from Bridgwater Museum.
