HAVE you ever wanted to be part of the RNLI?
Burnham-on-Sea RNLI is on the search for volunteers to assist in rescues across the coast of Burnham-on-Sea, Brean and Weston-super-Mare.
The RNLI will provide volunteers with on the job training and say volunteering for the third emergency service can help you get opportunities for your future career.
The RNLI's fundraising team are also looking for volunteers to help operate the RNLI shop on Burnham's High Street.
Lesley Hart, fundraising chairman for Burnham-on-Sea RNLI said: "Every day of every year, people of all backgrounds get into danger in the water.
"It’s a problem that we’re here to tackle.
"You don't have to like water to volunteer for the RNLI.
"We are keen to recruit new volunteers for the fundraising team as well as lifeboat crew.
"We hold a lot of fundraising events throughout the year, from street collections to the colour run and the annual lifeboat ball.
"No matter what your role, volunteering with us offers you the opportunity to make a difference in your local community, to save lives and be part of the larger RNLI family.
"Come down, meet the team and do something extraordinary this year."
For more information pop into the lifeboat station to the rear of B&M on Pier Street.
