Richard Anderson, of Moorland Road, Highbridge cleared of rape charges
A HIGHBRIDGE man has been cleared of raping two women.
Richard Anderson, 34, of Moorland Road, Highbridge denied five counts of rape and faced a lengthy trial at Taunton Crown Court.
The jury unanimously found Mr Anderson not guilty for the sexual charges but he was found guilty on one count of intimidation of a witness and another for assault.
Judge David Ticehurst sentenced Mr Anderson to 12 months imprisonment for intimidation and one month concurrent for the assault.
However it was deemed that Mr Anderson had served his sentence due to the time he spent on remand.
