LADIES from across Somerset were treated to an evening of pampering as they attended a charity ladies night.

More than 50 women turned out to enjoy the event at the Oaktree Arena in Highbridge on July 1 and were spoilt for choice with a selection of beauty treatments including mini massages, facials and nail art, as well as a host of entertainment.

There was a selection of stall holders at the event selling handmade crafts and homemade cakes as well as live music from the Pink Bra’s brass band.

Holly Macbeth, organiser of the event said: “An amazing £710 was raised at Chrissy P’s wicked women event on Saturday July 1. It was an event that was first hosted by the late chairman and founder of the group Christine Piper 20 years ago so we thought it was only fitting in our 20th anniversary year to bring back the event in her memory and what a success it was.”

“Christine would have loved it.

“We are so thank full once again to all our loyal supporters who attended the night, without you these events are not possible to do and to the Oaktree Arena who let us host the event there.

“The feedback has been brilliant and we are sure this event will return in 2018.”
