BURNHAM-on-Sea Rotary club has elected a new president.
David Underwood was elected as the new president at the group's annual handover on June 29.
Mr Underwood is taking over from Mark Newbury and is a familiar figure in Burnham as he was the manager of Burnham Funeral Services until his retirement earlier this year.
The new president said he hopes to make some adjustments to the club which he hopes will make the club more appealing to young people.
"The club is not an elitist club for old men but a vibrant and active organisation for men and women which helps provide services to the community.
"I am looking forward to my term as president and hope to make some positive changes."
