AN ECOLOGIST will be leading a free wildlife walk in Highbridge.

Pete Grainger, Sedgemoor District Council's ecologist will take visitors on a walk around Apex Park where they will look at the birds, small mammals, insects and plants.

A spokesman for Sedgemoor District Council said: "You don’t need to be a wildlife expert just come along with a willingness to learn and explore.

"The walk is suitable for all ages and starts from the information point situated within the Marine Drive Apex car park.

"The walk will look at the wonderful range of wildlife throughout the park, under the expert guidance of Pete Grainger, Sedgemoor’s Ecologist.

The next free wildlife walk is on Thursday, July 27 at 2pm.

Visitors are asked to wear suitable clothing and footwear for the terrain and weather conditions.

Children supervised by an adult are welcome to attend the walk.
