THOUSANDS of people headed out to find out more about healing during a special event.

The Secret World Wildlife Rescue, near Highbridge, hosted The Healing Weekend last weekend.

The event boasted more than 180 exhibitors, 90 workshops, talks and performances, evening shows, children’s activities, camping and good food, ensuring there was something for everyone.

Secret World fundraiser, Jeremy Duxbury, said the event had been a big success.

“It was great to welcome the Healing Weekend back again,” he said.

“As well as all the workshops and talks there were opportunities to learn more about Secret World’s work to rescue, rehabilitate and release injured wildlife.

“Visitors also had the option just to soak in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy everything the site has to offer.”

Organised by Elaine Fenton and Ron Tropman, the aim of the event is create a place where people ‘can come and experience a wide range of healing therapies and learn more about their benefits.'

The Healing Weekend brought together healing organisations, spiritual workers, holistic businesses for a peaceful and therapeutic weekend.

The event, which ran from Friday through to Sunday, also saw visitors donate money to help the work of Secret World.
