APEX Park has been named among the UK’s best green space.
The Highbridge park has been recognised with a Green Flag Award – the mark of a quality park or green space.
This award is a sign a public space boasts high environmental standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.
Cllr Mike Cresswell, chairman of Sedgemoor District Council said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive a Green Flag Award for eleventh time.
“It is with thanks to Sedgemoor’s parks, clean surroundings and dog warden staff, as well as the incredible support from the Friends of Apex Park Improvements Group, that both parks are in tip-top condition for their wide range of visitors.”
