TWO men have been arrested after a man suffered serious head injuries following an assault in Highbridge.
Police were called at around 6.30pm on August 13 to a property in Morland Road after reports of an assault. It is alleged the man was hit over the head with a golf club in the attack.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "One man suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital via air ambulance. "Two men have been arrested in connection with the assault. "Investigations are ongoing."
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said the man was flown to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment. "We were called to help a man who had a head injury and back pain.
"We attended with one ambulance and the air ambulance was also in attendance" the spokesman said.
