A GROUP of sand artists covered the surface of Brean beach in an intricate design in what they believe is the largest land art project in the world.
'The Sri Yantra Project' is a global land art project where 15 world-class artists are creating sand sculptures depicting a Hindu symbol.
Artists from the project were at Brean beach on Sunday (September 3) etching the designs into the sign.
The artwork was designed and etched onto the sand by artist Julian Richardson and his team of six helpers and took seven hours to create.
A spokesman for the Sri Yantra Project said: "We hope to inspire people and raise awareness of the beautiful complex balance and interdependence of all things in creation with these magnificent works of art."
