A BREAN holiday park has been inspected by Environmental Health officers after a number of holidaymakers complained about the resort's cleanliness.

Pontins Brean Sands Holiday Park came under fire in August after more than 100 holidaymakers allegedly queued up to complain about the state of their rooms and the facilities when they arrived for a Bank Holiday getaway.

A spokesman for Sedgemoor District Council confirmed that EHO's visited the resort earlier this month after the council received a number of complaints about the quality and cleanliness of the accommodation.

"Environmental Health Officer’s have visited and given advice, but to date, there is nothing that is a prosecutable offence," the spokesman said.

The Weekly News has contacted Pontins for a comment but as of yet they have not responded.
