BURNHAM-on-Sea’s Methodist Church was full of Christmas cheer on Saturday as it was filled with festive stalls for its annual Christmas fair.
The free event saw more than 20 stallholders from community groups around the town set up shop to help with the fundraising effort including a bric-a brac stall from Burnham and Highbridge Choral Society and a stall from Burnham’s Woodturning Club
All funds raised at the event will go towards repairing the church roof, which has fallen into a state of disrepair.
Dorothy May, organiser of the event, said: “It was a really wonderful event.
“We had a great range of stallholders who sold some lovely handmade things and all of our visitors really enjoyed the raffle and bric-a-brac stalls.
“The money we raised will go towards repairing the roof.
“It has been in a poor state for a while now and any money we raise will help with repairs.”
