THERE are jokes about zebra crossings and pelican crossings.
But penguins on our roads in Somerset?
Well, Somerset Road Safety is warning drivers to take extra care in the rain.
They have calculated that on a dry road it takes 23 metres - the length of 800 penguins (the chocolate bar variety) - to come to a stop.
But in wet weather that distance can double.
