TWO Sedgemoor businesses have secured £250 to help them buy defibrillators.
Staff from The White Cottage in West Huntspill and The Lighthouse Pub in Burnham-on-Sea met members of the Bridgwater Classic and Vintage Club at the pub on Highbridge Road on February 11 for a cheque presentation.
The funds to help the businesses were raised at the BCVC’s annual show in August last year at the Bridgwater Morganians sports ground.
After the event the funds were donated to the two businesses and £3,500 was donated to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
The defibrillators will help people in the event of emergencies in the area.
Peter Grant, chairman of the Bridgwater Classic and Vintage Club, said: “We enjoy organising our classic and vintage events. Look out for our next car show at Beachside holiday park, Brean on Sunday, June 10 where our main beneficiary will again be the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
“Our next annual show at Morganians is in August.”
