HOMES in Sedgemoor has been recognised as one of the UK’s leading not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK wide Best Companies league table.

Competing with approximately 150 organisations in the UK, the ALMO, who manages Sedgemoor District Council’s housing stock, has claimed the 10th spot and a two-star rating in its first year of applying, which represents outstanding levels of employee engagement.

Jen Barfoot, chief executive at Homes in Sedgemoor, said: “This is an amazing result.

"I am hugely proud of the whole team here at Homes in Sedgemoor.

"We are a great organisation, always looking for ways to deliver even better for our customers and for ourselves.”

The Best Companies league ranking identifies and celebrates best practice.

It rates companies based on employee responses to a series of questions around a company’s ability to provide leadership, wellbeing and personal growth, as well as canvassing employees’ views on their management, colleagues and happiness score.
