A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and B drugs with intent to supply in Bridgwater

Police carried out a warrant at an address in Highbridge at 8.45am today (April 13) and found the man, who is from London, with what is believed to be cocaine, heroin and cannabis.

PC Jennifer Atkinson from Avon and Somerset Police, said: “We think the suspect was ‘cuckooing’ the address of a drug user. The term cuckooing is where someone targets the home of a drug user or someone vulnerable, using the address to store and supply drugs.

“We were able to issue this warrant after receiving intel and would encourage anyone in the area with information to please come forward as our investigation is still ongoing.”

Anyone with information about people they believe to be dealing drugs should report their suspicions online or call the non-emergency number 101.
