BURNHAM-on-Sea community group Hands of Change has disbanded after two years.
The group was started by Kay Barrett in 2016 and their Facebook page had more than 1,000 members.
Kay said the group’s committee decided to close the page after finding out about new data protection laws that are set to come into effect in May.
“I am very sad to say goodbye to Hands of Change,” Kay said.
“The good has outweighed the bad, we have managed to maintain a page of love, kindness, understanding and sharing.
“We have made good friends and started groups that will continue, we have formed other groups of Hands of Change in other areas these to will remain open and I hope go from strength to strength.
“Thank you to everyone for believing in me and for your amazing kindness.”
