A HIGHBRIDGE man has been ordered to stand trial after he was accused of breaching a non-molestation order imposed by the courts.

Christopher John Jordan, 41, of Isleport Lane, appeared in the dock before Somerset Magistrates, sitting at Yeovil.

He was charged that on March 16 at Brinscombe Meadow, Chilcompton, he did an act, namely shared a post on Facebook relating to the complainant which he was prohibited from doing by a non-molestation order made by Bristol Family Court on January 4.

Prosecutor Julyan Stephens said that as part of the court order the defendant was prohibited from posting online any information relating to the applicant or her children or encouraging anyone else to do so.

“The allegation is that something has been posted at the defendant’s request by his wife about information relating to the complainant’s children,” he said.

Jordan pleaded not guilty to the charge and following a review of the case it was adjourned until July 3 when he must return to the court at Yeovil for a trial to take place.

In the meantime he was released on unconditional bail.
