THE ENGLAND fan who is alleged to have attacked a police officer and punched a horse has been charged.
Scott Spuring, 23, of Weston-super-Mare was arrested following the incident in Regent Street, Weston-super-Mare at 9.50pm on July 11.
He is due to appear in North Magistrates Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August 1.
Mr Spurling has been charged with assaulting an officer, assault by beating and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.
The news comes after police reported 13 incidents of disorder relating to the football were reported to them overnight following England's semi-final exit from the World Cup.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said the officer and the horse are fine.
