A MINI'S show to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation is set to return for its second year.

Organised by a group of Mini enthusiasts, Under The Mini Moon, is a two day charity car event jam packed with cars and entertainment.

More than 1,000 people went to the event in Brent Knoll last year and organiser, Gary Taylor, says this year's event is going to be bigger and better than ever.

"We have moved to a new site on Old Pawlett Road in West Huntspill this year as we need more space as we are putting on more activities," Gary said.

"We are expecting between 3,000 and 3,500 people this year which is double the amount we had last year so I think it is going to be a good event."

At the show on August 5, more than 100 Mini's will be on display and visitors will have the chance to listen to interviews with Mini owners who will talk about how they have customised their cars.

More than 25 traders will be attending the event and there will be live performances from Delta 88 and Shuffle.

Two classic car restoration projects which have never been revealed to the public will also be unveiled at the event.

Gary said he is excited for the event and thanked the show's sponsors for their support.

"This year the show is supported by our Mini Club 'West Country Minis'

and we have sponsorship from 'Westerly MINI Bridgwater'," Gary said.

"I would also like to thank all of our sponsors and Bridgwater Town Council and Sedgemoor District Council who have helped us with a grant to hold the show.

"We have something going on every hour this year and have expanded, we are putting on a lot of new activities this year which is very exciting.

"I am really looking forward to the event and hope we can make it bigger and better than last year's event."

Tickets cost £2.50 for adults and children under 16 go free.

The show will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
