SEDGEMOOR District Council is looking for volunteers to train as ‘Health Walk’ leaders.

The ‘Health Walks in Sedgemoor’ scheme offers residents a series of walks which are accessible, free and aimed at helping people to enjoying walking more and reap the benefits for their health and wellbeing.

A Sedgemoor District Council spokesman said: “We are looking for more volunteer Health Walk Leaders to join our team, so whether you wish to help their existing walks or indeed start your own, the training will equip you with the skills you need.”

“The training is free and full support will be given following the training day to help you along your way.

The training day will take place on September 13 between 10am and 3pm at the Sedgemoor District Council offices.
