Beach litter at record high

THE Marine Conservation Society is calling for a Government strategy on beach litter, after revealing that levels of rubbish are at the highest since records began.
The Beachwatch Survey Report 2008 results show that litter on Britain's beaches has increased by 110% since the annual survey began in 1994.
