SOMERSET County Council is offering tips to ensure people’s summer barbeques are not followed by a swift visit to the loo.
The council says people can avoid food poisoning and dangerous bugs like Ecoli and salmonella by taking simple precautions such as: ensuring charcoal is glowing red before cooking; completely thawing frozen food; washing hands and equipment after handling raw meat; and using separate utensils for raw and cooked meat.
