Apex Park logo comp winners unveiled

STUDENTS from King Alfred School in Highbridge showed their creative talents by designing part of a new logo for Apex Park.

A competition was held at the school to devise a sub-heading after a Green Flag Award judge said that it was difficult for visitors to know what was on offer inside the park from the outside.

15-year-old Jess Simpson scooped first prize with her 'Fish, Walk or Play' tagline to accompany the swan logo.

Fellow prize-winner James Clarke was honoured for his bold visual design using the idea of reflections in the water.

Also commended for their efforts were Cleo Stead, Grace Housden, Bradley Johnson and Anna Kevan.
