Twinning society members honoured

TWO long-serving members of the town and district's twinning associations were honoured with life memberships on Monday.

Alan and Stephanie Wynn, who have both served for nearly 20 years on the German-linked Burnham and Fritzlar Town Twinning association and the Sedgemoor and Schwalm-Eder Twinning Society, were presented with a special framed award at the town council offices in Jaycroft Road.

The two were praised for their dedication to both Anglo-German groups by Cllr Philip Smeed and Jane Moreton, president of the Sedgemoor Twinning Society.

Stephanie Wynn said: “Thank you very much for this award.

“We have worked hard over the years and really enjoyed out trips to Germany.”
