THE Somerset Rebels begin their Premier League campaign tonight at the Oak Tree Arena, against the Rye House Rockets.
The Rockets proved a nemesis for the Rebels last year, winning twice at the Oak Tree Arena.
Their line-up will include three ex-Rebels, Ritchie Hawkins, Jordan Frampton and recent signing Jason Doyle, a temporary replacement for the injured Steve Boxall.
Chris Neath, Luke Bowen, who missed a good part of last season due to injury, young up and coming British rider Ben Morley, and Australian Tyson Nelson complete the Rye House septet.
Tomorrow night, the Rebels will travel to Newport Wasps for their first away match of the season.
The Rebels will be looking to build on the form shown in last Friday night’s season opening challenge match against a strong Elite League select septet.
Although the Rebels lost by two points, there were several encouraging performances, not least by the returning Sam Masters and Cory Gathercole, and new boy Dakota North.
Gates open at 5.30pm for tonight's fixture – tapes-up at 7.30pm.
