THE fine weather’s here so what better way to enjoy Somerset’s stunning countryside than with a walk?
A Dozen Dramatic Walks in Somerset, by Culm Valley Publishing, entices walkers to sample the amazing landscapes Somerset has to offer: spectacular gorges, the wildness of high moorland with its contrasting combes, glorious coastline, picturesque valleys and pretty villages.
The publishers say it is aimed at walkers who like to feel a sense of achievement at the end of a day well-spent in the great outdoors.
The twelve circular routes include details of local refreshment stops, places to stay and nearby places of interest. Historic notes, authors’ tips and natural history pointers are also included.
Areas covered in the book include Exmoor, the Quantock, Mendip and Blackdown Hills and Cadbury Castle.
The book is published on April 18 - for more details, click on the Related Link below.
