BURNHAM United got back to winning ways with a 2-1 home win against Purnell Sports.
The win moved Burnham up three places in the Somerset County League Premier Division.
Simon Smith scored Burnham’s opener and Matt Scott got the second.
Saturday’s match was the first in a gruelling sequence of five in nine days.
Tonight, Burnham are away at fourth-placed Weston St Johns.
On Thursday, they travel to fifth-placed Ilminster Town.
On Saturday, they host mid-table Bishop Sutton Reserves, before they finish off their league programme with a derby match against already-promoted local rivals Berrow next Monday.
Burnham United Reserves finished third from bottom of Division Two West, two points clear of second-from-bottom Worle, who could only draw their final match of the season against leaders Yatton Athletic on Saturday.
