THE property market in Burnham and Highbridge is booming – and we’re joining in the celebrations.

Our popular property supplement Homelife has recently undergone a revamp and is celebrating its 100th edition this week (March 22).

Found in the centre of the paper every Thursday, Homelife features dozens of properties every week whether you’re looking to buy, rent, let or sell.

And the Weekly News caught up with estate agents across Burnham and Highbridge who support the supplement to find out how things have been going on the property front.

Julian Frost, of Abbot and Frost, told the Weekly News: “We can’t grumble with how things are going. It’s been a busy month so it’s going well.”

It’s also been a positive month at Saxons on High Street, and Roger Farr said: “It’s been absolutely roaring trade.

“There’s been people buying property and things seem to be going in the right direction.

“Believe it or not we seem to be selling the bigger stuff too so it’s clear the market is picking up.”

Director at Gary Berryman’s, Paul Gass, said: “We are delighted to have been working closely with the Weekly News and join them in celebrating 100 editions of Homelife.

“Although there have been ups and downs in the property market over the last ten years, at present the market is very busy and there is considerable optimism that a good spring is ahead of us.”

Paul Hale at Annagram Team has also been impressed with the market in the past month.

He added: “Since we officially opened we’ve become one of the leading people in the business.

“Last weekend was extremely busy and we sold three properties so the signs are encouraging.”

Bosses at Myrtle Properties, which is based in Mark, have said they are experiencing a good 2012 and are pleased to continue supporting the Homelife supplement.

Colin Pearce said: “We’ve experienced strong sales in 2012 with every sign that, after a long period of low transaction levels, confidence is returning to the market.

“We are increasing our marketing both online and in print and are pleased to support our local newspaper with a new full page weekly advert.”
