SHOPPERS in Highbridge can pop in for a bit of crime prevention advice following the opening of a ‘Pod’ at the town’s Asda store in Caxton Road.
The Highbridge Police Pod, which originally opened in 2009, has been relaunched and is now staffed by police volunteers.
Any queries, concerns and intelligence can be passed confidentially to them, with local officers being made aware where necessary.
Highbridge PCSO Sarah-Jane England said: “We want to provide as many opportunities as we can for the community to contact the police.
“We want to know what’s going on in their area so we can focus our efforts on maintaining a safer, stronger neighbourhood.”
The pod opening hours are: Monday – Closed; Tuesday 3.45-4.45pm; Wednesday 10am–noon; Thursday 2-4pm; Friday – Closed; Saturday 9-10am; Sunday 2-4pm (bi-weekly beat surgery).
