CROWDS flocked to the town green in Highbridge for an afternoon of superb live music.
The Music on the Green event was a taster for Burnham Folkfest in a fortnight.
Performers included award-winning acoustic artist Nicki Swann, accompanied by Katie Marie; vocalist Bruce Hudson, impressive 16-year-old guitarist Darren Hodge plus Rowdy Ways, a group making their debut at the event.
Organiser Mike Murphy said: “It was well attended and we had lots of new people coming along this time.
“The event is a taster for Folkfest, which runs from August 30 to September 2.
“Preparations are going well. We’ve got lots of acts lined up but keep an eye out for Leah Goldie, a pianist and singer/songwriter from Newcastle. She has a fantastic voice.”
