Marine Cove vandals caught on camera
BUMBLING vandals who targeted a statue at Marine Cove Gardens have been caught in the act on camera.
Sedgemoor District Council were alerted to the vandalism during the evening of Wednesday, August 16.
A spokesman for SDC told the Weekly News: “Someone pushed over a cherub statue which was joined to a Victorian style water feature.
“They probably thought it was funny, but they were filmed on CCTV.
“The pipe work was set up so water came from something the cherub was holding and the pipes have been damaged.”
The footage was passed to police and local builders will recover the statue and make repairs.
