IT has been a mixed day for our Paralympic athletes so far.
Debbie Criddle added another Paralympic silver medal to her growing collection but wheelchair tennis star Lucy Shuker was knocked out of the singles.
Debbie, 46, from Trull, riding LJT Akilles in Grade III, won her second silver in as many days to add to her team gold. She delivered the record-equalling 10th medal when she took silver in her freestyle section and posted a consistent 78.550%.
It was bad news for Lucy, who trains at Blackbrook Pavilion in Taunton, as she lost 6-4,6-2 to Dutch player Jiske Griffioen in the quarter finals of the singles competition.
She still has the chance to win a medal in the doubles competition though.
