THE Highbridge Young Farmers said a sad farewell at their annual meeting to their much-loved president, Cecil Tripp, who has retired after many years, with Wendy Baker taking over.
The club presented £2,500 to Somerset Young Farmers and £1,000 to road safety charity BRAKE.
The meeting, at the Fox and Goose Inn, in Brent Knoll, heard about a busy year of activities, including an Olympic-themed Boxing Day boogie, sausage-making, flower arranging, skiing, ice skating and It's A Knockout.
