TESSA Munt MP for Burnham got on her bike to help raise cash for a group which cares for churches in her patch.

She joined cyclists between Blackford’s Holy Trinity Church and Wedmore’s St Mary’s last Saturday for a ‘Ride and Stride’ trip in aid of the Friends of Somerset Churches and Chapels.

The journey was just one leg in a round Somerset trip for the charity, which raises funds to help keep Somerset churches alive for worship, visitors and the community.

Tessa said: “It has been too long since I had a chance for a good cycle so I was keen to join the gang and support this excellent local charity at the same time.”
